Keep pretending this country is moving left, that the world is moving left. The only growing trend is globalization, crony capitalism. Not much progress from the era of feudalism. The same hierarchies, quid pro quo, and the only change is the length of the trail of zeroes in the accounts of the bankers, corporations, and statists. We the people see no change, but a gradual decrease in liberties and small fluctuation of wealth. The state has failed to protect the interests and health of its people, and have sold them to the highest bidder. We can visualize, as groups or individuals, a better world, all while the ‘elite’ marginalize every idea we hold dear. The change cannot and will not come through trust and faith in pre-existing institutions, and compromise will not come. The only choice is separation, independence, and autonomy. A voluntary society cannot exist within the confines of a state of violence and coercion. The struggle is no longer the left against the right, but it is about liberty against oppression. Free markets, socialist communes, whatever shape things come to take, this society cannot function at this rate, expecting its centralization to produce any sort of efficiency. Humanity ceases to be a race of individual-oriented being, and turns into a machine, working under the order of a privileged class. All I have and will continue to ask for is a free society, a society of voluntary interaction, a society without aggression, the dismantling of hierarchies that fulfill no purpose but for the greed of the tyrant. Peace may begin when we are measured as equals and not driven against one another by the friction of unfairness in society’s operation. The individual ultimately must be given control over their destiny, without the impediments of institution, and pursue his or her goal in mutual agreement with others, for society is only an abstract entity comprised of joined individuals, with differing ambitions and goals. We are different but equal, and no hierarchy shall stand in the path of the quiet path of individualism; not the state or its allies.
Random Economic Ideas
- Land only owned so long as it is occupied or in use.
- Individuals only receive income through labour, as opposed to means such as loans, investments, rent, etc.
- Property is intended as the direct product of one’s labour.
-Promotion of labour-owned cooperatives and associations over traditional ‘master’ + ‘wage earner’ relationships (extend anarchist/democratic ideas to workplace, dismantle hierarchy)
- Cost should be the ‘limit of price’, with cost referring to the amount of labour taken to produce a good or service.
-Synthesize the ideas of property and communism
-“Property is theft”, yet “Taxation is theft” as well. (critical of capitalism, but critical of state, balance between giving power to either)
- From Pierre Joseph Proudhon, establish a mutual credit/free banking system in order to operate with the economy.
I don’t understand what has been going on inside of my head for the past four years.
“I hate my life and all of my friends”
- crippling depression on facebook
Yep.
Jugband Blues
It’s awfully considerate of you to think of me here
And I’m much obliged to you for making it clear
That I’m not here.
…
I don’t care if the sun don’t shine
And I don’t care if nothing is mine
And I don’t care if I’m nervous with you
I’ll do my loving in the winter.
…
And what exactly is a dream?
And what exactly is a joke?
LOL
